Chocolate Coconut Protein balls

Here is a super easy, quick and simple protein ball recipe!

I use activated almonds or the left over almond pulp from making almond milk for this recipe. This is a pick me up snack for for any time of the day, containing essential nutrients to fuel and energize our bodies.

Chocolate coconut protein balls

Prep time: 10 minutes Skill level: easy

*For this recipe you can use almond meal or activate your almonds by soaking them in water over night ( this removes phytic acid from the almonds which inhibits calcium and iron absorption) and then making almond meal in your food processor the next day.


1 cup of activated almond meal

1 cup of desiccated coconut

1/2 of cacao powder

2 tbsp of coconut oil

1 tbsp of almond butter

3 tbsp of honey or maple syrup (option to add 1 medjool date and tbsp of honey instead)

Vanilla to taste

* plus 1/2 cup extra desiccated coconut to roll balls in


1) Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend

2) Roll balls in coconut

Protein balls will last in fridge up to a week

Recipe makes 12-15 balls
